The CCSDA D1000 digital fan controller brings these functions together. Designed for demanding pig farming applications, it supports positive-pressure and negative-pressure ventilation, controls up to 60 compatible digital fans, and integrates temperature, pressure and air filtration monitoring.
For farm managers and ventilation system integrators, D1000 provides a practical way to coordinate equipment control and understand what is happening inside the ventilation system.
Positive- and Negative-Pressure Ventilation Control
D1000 supports both positive-pressure and negative-pressure ventilation configurations, allowing it to work with different combinations of supply and exhaust equipment.
In a positive-pressure installation, indoor pressure becomes part of the control strategy—not just a reading on a separate instrument. With the appropriate sensors and equipment installed, D1000 can use pressure feedback to coordinate ventilation operation around the configured pressure target.
This makes it suitable for pig houses where air supply, exhaust and filtration need to work as one system.
The final ventilation configuration should reflect the building layout, filtration arrangement, fan capacity and operating requirements.
Control Up to 60 Digital Fans
D1000 provides three RS485 communication channels for up to 60 compatible digital fans. It supports grouped speed control and real-time monitoring of individual fan operating status.
Rather than only sending a speed command, the system can receive operating information from connected fans and make it available through the controller and connected platform.
For installations with many fans, this helps operators review equipment status and identify units that require inspection.
Compatibility must be checked before installation. Fan models, communication protocols and site wiring conditions determine the final connection configuration.
Monitor Pressure and Air Filtration Conditions
D1000 extends environmental control beyond temperature by supporting three complementary monitoring functions:
Air-supply plenum pressure monitoring and alarms: Monitor pressure in the air-supply chamber and generate an alarm when readings move outside configured limits.
Filter differential-pressure monitoring: With suitable sensors installed across the filtration system, monitor pressure differences to help assess filter resistance and maintenance needs.
Air-speed monitoring: Connect compatible air-speed sensors to provide additional information about ventilation conditions at selected measurement points.
Together, these readings help staff investigate abnormal ventilation conditions and make more informed maintenance decisions.
A pressure alarm is a signal to inspect the system—not automatic proof that a filter is blocked. Pressure and air-speed readings should be interpreted alongside fan operation and the actual installation.
Environmental Monitoring and Equipment Control
D1000 provides seven temperature inputs, configurable as six indoor measurement points and one outdoor reference. This allows operators to monitor temperature differences within the house and compare indoor conditions with the outdoor environment.
Six 4–20 mA sensor inputs support compatible humidity, CO₂, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, air-speed and static-pressure sensors. The sensor combination can be selected according to the requirements of each pig house.
On the output side, eight 0–10 V outputs and twelve relay outputs support the integration of ventilation fans, evaporative cooling pads, heating equipment, air inlets and alarm functions.
Two 0–5 V actuator-feedback inputs can receive position feedback from compatible inlet actuators, helping operators check inlet opening positions.

Connected equipment quantities depend on output allocation, device compatibility and the approved installation design. Monitoring functions require the corresponding sensors.
Connect Environmental and Production Data with AiFarm
D1000 can collect more than environmental readings. Its dedicated data-acquisition interface supports water, electricity and feed monitoring, allowing these measurements to be brought into the same digital management environment.
Through a compatible 4G or Ethernet IoT module, the controller can connect to the AiFarm platform, bringing together environmental data, fan operating status and connected production measurements.
For farms with multiple buildings, this supports centralized visibility while keeping the equipment configuration specific to each installation.
D1000 can also work with CCSDA alarm equipment. Centralized alarm management and remote notifications depend on the selected alarm devices and system configuration.
Is D1000 Right for Your Pig House?
D1000 is particularly relevant when your project combines digital fan control with positive-pressure ventilation, filtered air supply or additional pressure monitoring.
It is also worth considering when your team needs individual fan-status feedback and wants to connect environmental measurements with water, electricity and feed data.
The key selection question is not simply, “How many fans can it control?” It is:
“What does our ventilation system need to control, measure and report?”
For filtered pig houses and farms with demanding biosecurity requirements, D1000 supports the environmental control and monitoring part of the installation. It does not replace appropriate filtration design, building sealing, maintenance or farm biosecurity procedures.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can D1000 work with our existing digital fans?
It may be suitable, provided the fan communication protocol and electrical installation are compatible. Send CCSDA the fan manufacturer, model, quantity and available communication specifications before confirming the configuration.
Can D1000 monitor when air filters need attention?
Yes. With the appropriate pressure sensors installed, D1000 can monitor filtration-related pressure conditions and generate alarms at configured limits. These readings help your team decide when to inspect the filters and ventilation system.
Are pressure and air-speed measurements the same?
No. Pressure measurements describe pressure conditions or differences between measurement points. Air-speed measurements describe how fast air is moving at a particular location. D1000 applications should use the appropriate sensors for each monitoring requirement.
What information is needed to select a D1000 configuration?
Start with your house dimensions, number of buildings, ventilation mode, fan models and quantities, filtration layout, and required monitoring points. Your existing cooling, heating, inlet and alarm equipment should also be included.
